Current News and Announcements
  • AEES Fire Prevention Week

In conjunction with the Middleton Fire Department, AEES held a contest regarding Fire Safety.  Grades P & 1 coloured a picture with this year’s theme “Replace Smoke Detectors Every 10 Years” and the grades 2 – 5 designed posters around the same message.  Grade 5 student, Hayley Turksma, was selected to be Fire Chief of the day.  Hayley was picked up by the fire truck and driven to school with full sirens and lights.  The whole school cheered on her arrival!  After she, along with her 5 captains—Olivia Wade, Teagan Dalby, Amelia Hicks, Boey Clayton and Callie Saltzman—assisted the MFD conduct fire drills at AEES and MRHS Friday morning.  AEES would like to thank the Middleton Fire Department for sponsoring this contest, and hopefully this will spark some future firefighters!
