Here are our bucket fillers for September. Thank you for filling our buckets!

17th Annual Walkathon

Our Walkathon will take place on Oct. 18th at 10:40 am (Rain date Oct. 21nd at 1:30 pm) Each student will be asked to get sponsors and it is our hope that each participant will get a minimum of $12.00 in pledges. This year it is our desire to match or exceed $6000. If students are successful, each student who contributed will have a chance to help SLIME Mrs. Illsley or Mrs. Connell!Students who brings in the most money in their classroom will receive a chance to be principal/vice-principal for an hour along with a gift certificate to the Scholastic Book Fair. Students are asked to please bring all monies in by Oct. 23rd to be considered for top fundraiser. Parents/Guardians who would like to walk with us will need their criminal records and child abuse registry checks completed.

We do not have traditional Halloween parties here at the school. While we are happy to acknowledge the various holidays and celebrations of our community, our priority has to be to the provincial curriculum. Parties with costumes, etc. simply consume too much of the day. Also, if a costume is left at school, it can lead to huge tears at home.

First school social

On October 18, 2019, from 6:30-8:00pm, the Home & School will be hosting a social at the school.

Admission has been increased to $4.00 per student. Activities will include dance, music in the gym, games in the cafeteria and snacks for sale in the cafeteria as well. All students must be signed in by a parent/guardian, which includes a telephone number where they can be reached during the hours of the social.

Pick up time is 8:00pm sharp. Children are expected to follow the respectful dress policy, particularly regarding hats, strapless or spaghetti strapped tops. Please remember AEES is peanut and nut sensitive and scent sensitive.

Come show off your Funky Hair!

Also, please remember students from other schools are not permitted to attend our socials. Thank you!
